John Hammond, Founder
John Hammond founded bendystraw in 2014 after 15 years in equity compensation technology and consulting.
John has been a source for creative ideas and big-picture thinking for much of his career serving in strategy, management, sales, consulting, product, and relationship roles during his industry tenure and frequently had marketing and industry relations responsibilities. John has always been on the vendor side of the industry, originally beginning with Great Lakes Strategies in 1999, then several other vendors until forming bendystraw. Prior to joining the industry, John was a financial planner and advisor for 10 years.
John earned his CEP designation in 2000 and currently serves on the CEP Advisory Board. He has served on the Advisory Board since 2010, and was Chair from 2013 – 2014. John also served on the CEP Curriculum Committee from 2002 – 2004 and 2007 – 2009.
In addition to his CEP activities, John has been a long-time member of NASPP and currently serves as a member of the NASPP Executive Advisory Committee. He has held roles as President of both the Philadelphia and Carolinas Chapters in the past. John has attended 16 NASPP National Conferences and has been a speaker at a variety of stock plan meetings and conferences on a wide range of issues surrounding equity compensation, administration and reporting requirements.
John received his B.A. from The University of Michigan.
